Terms of Service for PatchPal (Android)

Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using PatchPal for Android, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you are using the App on behalf of a child, you represent that you are the parent or legal guardian.

Use of the App

PatchPal is designed to help track eye patching therapy for amblyopia (lazy eye). The app is intended to:

Track patching time and progress
Provide motivation and rewards for children
Enable family members to coordinate patching schedules
Offer mini-games and story mode to engage children during patching
Log visual acuity measurements

Medical Disclaimer

PatchPal is not a medical device and should not replace professional medical advice. Always follow the guidance of your child's eye care professional regarding patching schedules and treatment plans. We are not liable for any medical decisions or outcomes related to the use of this App.

Free App

PatchPal for Android is currently free to use with all features available at no cost. We reserve the right to introduce optional paid features in the future with appropriate notice.

Data and Account

You retain ownership of all data you enter into the App
You can export or delete your data at any time through Settings
Data deletion is permanent and cannot be undone
We are not responsible for data loss due to device failure or app uninstall

Third-Party Services

The App uses Google Firebase for optional cloud synchronization and Google Play Services. Your use of these services is subject to Google's Terms of Service.

Intellectual Property

PatchPal and all its content are the property of the App developers and are protected by copyright and intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the App.

Limitation of Liability

PatchPal is provided "as is" without warranties. We are not liable for any issues arising from the use of this app, including but not limited to medical decisions, data loss, or service interruptions.

Termination

You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it from your device and using "Reset Account" to delete all data. We reserve the right to suspend access if you violate these Terms.

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
