PatchPal is designed to help track eye patching therapy for amblyopia (lazy eye). The app is intended to:
PatchPal uses a profile code (in PATCH-XXXXXX format) to allow multiple family members to access a child's patching data across devices. By sharing your profile code, you grant the recipient full access to view and modify the associated profile, sessions, and encouragement messages. You are responsible for keeping your profile code secure and sharing it only with trusted family members or caretakers. We are not responsible for unauthorised access resulting from a shared or disclosed profile code.
If you enable iCloud Sync, your data is stored in Apple's CloudKit service and may be accessed from any device signed in with the same profile code. Data sync relies on an active internet connection and iCloud availability. We are not responsible for data loss resulting from iCloud service interruptions, account changes, or device issues. Session history older than one year may be automatically removed to manage storage.
PatchPal is not a medical device and should not replace professional medical advice. Always follow the guidance of your child's eye care professional regarding patching schedules and treatment plans.
Optional in-app subscriptions are available to support PatchPal's development. Subscriptions are managed through Apple and can be cancelled at any time through your Apple ID settings.
PatchPal is provided "as is" without warranties. We are not liable for any issues arising from the use of this app.
